Tasks and Responsibilities

Inspire, develop and lead the UK Sales team to deliver all Revenue Targets and Margins, whilst understanding /improving Sales motivation via the DHL EOS. This will be achieved by developing and implementing short, medium and long term strategies to increase market share,

To Exceed country targets by ensuring tactical sales plans are in place and communicated, understood and delivered to all Sales functions. Identify and commercialise new service offerings and industry specific products. Oversee UK sales operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of the sales resources. Ensure that sales channels have the best combination of processes, sales tools and IT systems that will ensure that the needs and values of all Market Segments are represented in the services offered by DHL. As member of UK management board, contribute to the wider strategy and performance of UK business.

Accountabilities

Customer: External

Develop, drive sign off champion, communicate and regularly maintain a Sales Strategy by sales channel and Market Segment which is aligned and supports the Global Commercial strategy

Using a Strong Business and bottom line focus identify development areas in performance in the sales team. Drive both short-term (tactical) as well as appropriate long-term (strategic) actions to address the short fall.

Develop and get approval of the measures and goals (revenue, profit, share) to respectively:

Stakeholder: Internal

Contribute to the successful Regional Sales Campaigns and Initiatives and strong interface with Regional Sales Roles.

Member of the UK board. Contribute to overall strategy and performance of UK business.

Process:
Recognise opportunities and develop business programmes and their business cases and drive their approval.

Manage the definition, development and implementation of these programmes.

Monitor the achievement of programmes against their business cases throughout deployment and implementation.

Participate in cross-functional projects at the regional and Global level as requested in order to drive the future Business direction at both the country, Regional and Global levels.

People Management:
Contribute as an active member of the Regional Marketing and Sales Management team.

Recruit, train, coach, motivate, supervise and evaluate the staff performances of the Sales group’s staff.
