Technician – Test Operations (m/f/d) Job at Strato-Personal – in Weßling
In the Systems Testing department, our client is hosting various faculties to facilitate component, system and aircraft level tests for research, development and certification. They are covering the technology areas: Propulsion, Batteries, Structures, Environmental Tests and Hardware in the Loop (HIL). The department is set up in three divisions: Testing, Test Management and Test Operations.
You are reporting to the Team Leader of the Test Operations team and support the team during the critical phase of setting up the facility of the Systems Testing department. Your scope of work compromises the manufacturing of mechanical parts and components for testbeds and -rigs and the setup of testbeds and -rigs.
Your tasks:
Manufacturing of mechanical components and structures by processing of various materials (metal, plastic, wood)
Assembly and maintenance of test beds & rigs including the setup and adjustment of equipment and machines according to technical manuals
Procurement of parts and components
Support administrative tasks related to electrical installation of the facility and its equipment
Work on any ad-hoc related projects or tasks provided by management
Your profile:
Educational background as mechanic, machinist, toolmaker, steelworker or comparable professional education and a minimum 3 years of experience in this area
Ability to read, understand and implement manufacturing instructions and mechanical drawings. Experienced handling of hand tools, power tools, and machine tools
Extensive experience in manufacturing, assembly, modification and repair of mechanical products by manual and machine-supported processing such as cutting, sawing, bending, bonding, grinding, drilling, screwing, riveting, soldering, milling, lathing and welding
Excellent, broad technical understanding, strong spatial sense and pragmatically way of thinking
Knowledge and experience in CAD-tools and CAD-Databases (e.g. Siemens NX / Team Center) is a plus
Efficient operation of standard IT software such as MS office and the willingness to learn other software tools (e.g. data bases)
Team player with high sense of responsibility, craftsmanship and the ability to work on the basis of verbal and written instructions or complex and detailed documentation. Target-oriented and motivated workstyle with analytic, autonomous problem-solving skills to organize own work and accomplish tasks
Good English language skills in spoken and written are required, German language is a plus
