As a member of the Fire Safety Engineering and Fire Test team, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in Fire Safety Engineering topics and Fire Testing. We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our team by bringing your experience in the field of fire tests as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.

The job is available in the Airbus Fire Test Lab in Bremen. The job holder will report to the head of the functional department.

Your tasks:
In this position, you will perform fire tests for development, screening and certification of materials and parts according to CS/FAR-25, FAA -Fire Testing Handbook and Airbus Tests Methods (AITM) to release parts, components and materials for Airbus aircrafts

You will be responsible for all technical topics in context with fire tests like mechanical sample preparation, test chamber calibration, maintenance of laboratory equipment, etc. to ensure fire testing in line with Authority and Airbus rules/requirements

You will support Fire Safety Engineering in preparation of engineering tests and provide fire testing expertise

Besides the technical topics you take care of all testing related laboratory activities like ordering of consumables and technical test articles, quality activities, calibration of test equipment, visual management, administrative work and documentation to secure an overall smooth fire testing in the Airbus Fire Test Lab

What we are looking for:
This position requires a vocational education as electricians, mechanics, mechatronics or comparable with an additional qualification as a Technician or Bachelor

You have experiences in fire testing/fire test methods, experiences in Google and Data acquisition softwares

You are a highly engaged person with a great sense of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity and the ability to manage confidential topics

You show strong relationship building, communication, interpersonal and networking skills

Your English is at negotiating level, additional language skills in French/German/Spanish are considered as a plus
