Northrop Grummans Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Staff Systems Engineer (part time/on-call) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on our Strike program. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development and execution of Virtual Simulation (aka Man-In-The-Loop) testing for next generation aircraft in an air war mission environment.

System/subsystem definition and development as well as associated Concepts of Employment (CONEMPS) and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS).

Duties will include the execution of all the steps in the Man-In-The-Loop testing process:

o Problem definition

o Design of experiment

o Simulation requirements development

o Test article verification and validation

o Training of operators

o Conducting tests

o Analyzing data

o Reporting results to stakeholders

Basic

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in systems engineering, modeling and simulation, OR a Masters degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in systems engineering, modeling and simulation, OR a Ph.

D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in systems engineering, modeling and simulation.

Must have experience as a rated weapons officer in a DoD environment.

Must have experience as a rated aircraft commander in a DoD environment.

Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years).

Must be able to ial Program Access (PAR/SAP).

Preferred

Qualifications:

Adversary Tactics, Air Power Weapons, Tactics, Operations, or Doctrine

Operator/Crew Tactics/Mission Training

Operational experience with air combat systems

Weapon System level test and evaluation

An understanding of Integrated Air Defense Systems and capabilities

An understanding of tactical aircraft aero-performance, sensors, weapons, and communication
