Supply Chain Controller & Production Assistant Job at Office Angels – in Wigston Magna

We are recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Controller & Production Assistant based in Wigston working Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 4.45pm and Fridays 8am – 2pm

The Company: A global company that develop, manufacture, maintain and distribute mechanical systems in the high tech field for dynamic components in the niche markets of motor racing, luxury automobiles and the aviation industry.

As the Supply Chain Controller & Production Assistant – Perks of the Job: 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays, 4% Pension, early finish on Fridays, onsite parking

Description: You will be managing the Supply Chain, Subcontractor and Key Tooling processes to ensure maximum productivity, on time delivery and exceptional quality standards. You will also be supporting the Production Team with operational tasks.

As the Supply Chain Controller & Production Assistant, reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties will include:

Supporting the Production Team with administrative tasks

Agreeing with management the use of subcontractors where additional resourcing is required

Agreeing subcontractor timescales and delivery arrangements to meet planning and customer requirements

Advise on planning and production when parts are needed

Proactively managing subcontractor feedback, particularly when problems are identified

Daily communication with suppliers

Arranging logistics and transportation, minimising cost & time

Working alongside Engineering and Quality Management managing returns and rejections from suppliers

Purchasing tools, dealing with tooling suppliers, and monitor regular tooling

Your qualifications & experience as the Supply Chain Controller & Production Assistant

Previous experience in supply chain role is essential

Experience in an engineering environment would be an advantage

A proactive, hands on approach to managing own workload and supporting the wider team.

Great communication skills, verbal and written

Time management and project management

Problem solving and decision making

Negotiation skills

Customer focus, commercial awareness

Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced manner

Must be able to demonstrate high level of efficiency, confidentially and attention to detail and quality

Good PC skills including good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, knowledge of MRP

Health and safety knowledge awareness
