SunIRef:Manu:title Job Description: In anticipation of project funding, Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineers to support software testing activities for the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI. Applicants will provide support to government labs in support of various R & D efforts in support of the US Army. Projects range from embedded, AI/ML, to automation software. Candidate will be responsible for the testing and validation of software as well as interfacing with the hosted hardware. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and will have an opportunity to grow technically and take on new responsibilities within this position. Previous experience working within a DoD environment is a plus, but not required. Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Software Tester to support the Combat Capabilities Development Command in the testing and verification of Army Aviation maintenance software. Candidate will work within a CMMI Level 3 environment and be responsible for creating artifacts and documentation in regards to the quality and testing procedures. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline, with 10+ years of related testing experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the education requirement. Supporting the development of test plans and documents for functional testing of all software and software upgrades to the software application Working within Army CM processes to log software issues or defects as well as updates to processes and documentation Reviewing system documentation to derive test plans, test strategies, and test infrastructure needed to adequately exercise software Translating new capabilities into operationally testable criteria Supporting the execution of testing including regression testing, system installation and checkout (IC), IV & V, before all software releases Evaluating and testing of new or modified software Writing/revising/verifying test cases, utilizing various testing software Providing input for weekly status and customer presentations Deep understanding of software testing principles Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills
