Job DetailsDescriptionSun Country is growing and we are looking for a talented and passionate Software Developer to join our Application Development Team. The right candidate will get to utilize their skills to the develop, test, and maintain software integrations for our key business and home-grown applications. The Software Developer will develop an understanding of the business processes and work closely with Application Architects, Application Administrators and Project Managers to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.

Interact with stakeholders to understand needs and provide solutions that meet the requirements.
Ability to work independently, understand business requirements, design solutions, and manage projects through to completion.
Develop scalable solutions, taking into account high availability, redundancy, maintainability, accessibility, and security standards and requirements.
Development functions include analyzing requirements, developing code, testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
Define and adhere to coding standards and security policies.
Identify appropriate technologies to meet project requirements and aligns with organization’s current technology stack.
Conduct appropriate reviews at all stages of work to include design, fault management, deployment plan, and transition to support.
Manage projects within an Agile environment.
Contribute to the development of forward-looking roadmap in partnership with the business stakeholders to address upcoming business demand, align with product / industry direction and best practices.
Work with Application Administrators and product vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any reported problems.
Maintain a stable and available environment following standard procedures for testing and deployment, including application support and participation in on-call rotations.
Plan and coordinate testing of changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems operate correctly in current and future environments.
Responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Experience with application development; full SDLC.
Languages and Tools: See Tech Stack/Related Technologies.
Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Eager to learn, excited about technology and solving problems.
A customer focused attitude.
Previous airline industry experience a plus, not required.
