About the role
As a Security Administrator or Senior Security Administrator, you will be responsible for completing office based administrative tasks, usually relating to a back-office or commercial function.
Main responsibilities:
A primary component will be to become competent in the use of internal administrative platforms for service provider engagement, management of contracts, budget and security functional data
Be a dedicated resource that recognises confidentiality and the handling of Security Sensitive Information (SSI). Such a role will require strict confidentiality to situations, documents and security sensitive materials, the suitable candidate may at times engage and interface with government agencies and must be prepared to do so
Able and willing to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card (ASIC), as they will be required to deal with communications between the FedEx Security function and law enforcement agencies such as Department of Home Affairs, Aviation Maritime Security for our Regulated Air Cargo Agent (RACA) accreditation and Security Program
Complete defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards
Verify data and completes procedural checks against predefined processes or criteria to ensure accuracy and quality
Use appropriate tools and equipment as required
Make decisions relating to procedural checks, including situations where the outcome is not clearly indicated
Provide feedback on processes and procedures proactively, making recommendation for continuous improvement
Investigate and resolve problems or exception situations using systems and equipment
Evaluate options, escalate and gain approval for solutions that are outside of established parameters – supporting implementation of corrective actions
Use appropriate communication methods to understand and share information with customers, team members, and other departments
Support team members and other departments during process changes including participating in the development of appropriate job aids, procedures & on-the-job training materials
Collate, validate or complete accurate and timely reporting
Support in researching relevant data and collates for analysis and interpretation
Collate data and prepares reports as required and which may include recommendations for areas of improvement
Input data into company systems while ensuring accuracy of own and others’ data while completing checks of system to ensure data integrity is maintained
Ensures ongoing compliance with processes and procedures, relevant legislation and external regulations, and predefined agreements
Experience Required
Previous experience working in Security, Legal, Law Enforcement or related areas would be an advantage
Experience in analysing and handling data
Ability to quickly and effectively learn new administrative platforms and their usage
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
Sound judgement and decision-making skills
Team player
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
