Sales Manager – Modernisations & Upgrades

Siemens are recruiting for a highly motivated individual person with an entrepreneurial spirit to join as a ‘Sales and Tendering Manager’ in our dynamic Modernization and Upgrades department within Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Limited.
The team is responsible for all activities that are ‘outside the norm’, and deal with complicated and diverse solutions for all of the SGT range of Gas Turbines, bringing the latest technology from the current generation of high tech turbine solutions and retrofitting them onto the legacy and mature Gas Turbine fleet.

Good technical understanding of the Siemens SGT Product or similar technology
Good sound commercial and contractual understanding with the ability to work within multi-disciplined teams
Contract Management in an International Oil & Gas / Power Generation business environment.
Proven Sales and Sales negotiation experience in a International Oil & Gas / Power Generation business environment.
Project Management knowledge
Financial and departmental commercial experience
A basic understanding of how Control systems work on both the package and associated ancillaries
Good understanding of the fundamentals of how controls work within the rotating machinery industry and how they interact with other balance of plant (BoP) DCS, SCADA etc.
Tendering experience and how to articulate the benefits of the M&U solutions.
Identify the critical key selling strategies through dialogue and research leading to meaningful value propositions.
Excellent interpersonal skills – both verbally and written across all stakeholders from engineers to senior /c level
Proven Sales experience in a solutions based environment and the ability to close a sale.
Willingness to travel worldwide
Negotiate and influence across borders and intercultural sensitivity
The role is working within the Siemens Small Gas Turbine (SGT) Modernization & Upgrades Sales team. Responsible for delivering the Sales Order intake for the Modernization & Upgrades Controls & Digitalisation product line.
The individual will also be responsible for the global selling of the solution both technically and commercially via the Siemens Regional Entities (RE’s) and direct to our End User Customers.
They must work within the closely knit team to develop a target selling strategy for each of the identified countries and solutions. The role involves extensive travel globally and expect to be out of the country for up to 100 days a year.
Deliver the order intake targets to meet financial year Key Performance indicators.
Ensure that the Sales processes are implemented in line with Siemens Energy methodology, and in a compliant and ethical manner. Offer coaching & mentoring support.
Coordinate and collaborate with partners across multicultural boundaries. Within the position there will be called upon from time to time to travel internationally to support our in-territory Siemens colleagues and End User Customers
