What youâll learn & achieve::
UL are a test and inspection laboratory for consumer electronics offering compliance towards EMC, Wireless, Safety, and Interoperability standards. Industry experience is highly valued, particularly within a technical arena (electronics, aviation, medical, appliance, security, etc.).
Responsible for managing large and complex projects for clients within a multi service product compliance organisation.
Act as our clients representative to UL as the Primary point of contact responsible for managing the clients expectations, selling the vision and mission to UL commercial and technical stakeholders.
Manage and lead by exception through a matrix, internal technical stakeholders to have testing and reports progressed in line with agreed schedules.
Partnering with commercial stakeholders to understand clients future roadmap and product compliance needs.
Facilitating client meetings to ensure that programs are planned and scheduled as per client requirements.
Recognise internal resource and scheduling conflicts, negotiate and influence on behalf of the client to deliver on our promises.
Co-ordinate with technical service engineering stakeholders to scope and resolve clients technical needs.
Manage change within a given program, resolve conflict and focus on maintaining the clients budget and schedule.
Receive progress updates from internal stakeholders and communicate overview status to key customers across complex project programs.
Provide project management support to client and UL stakeholders with:
Milestone planning through WBS tools such as Microsoft Project.
Statistical quality control
Root cause analysis
Lessons learned and retrospective reporting
What makes you a great fit::
Project Management experience of at least 4 years is required along with positive references of working on sizeable programmes with high value
Project Management qualifications, such as Prince 2, PMQ (Formerly APMP), PM2 is required
Preferably from a ‘Product Compliance’ service industry background
Proficiency in Excel is mandatory
Advanced English skills is required.
