Job Description SummaryEngines Modernization is a mission-based team within the GE Aviation Materials organization focused on contemporizing today’s business processes with a sustainable digital solution through a more connected ERP, thus enabling strategic process transformation. This organization is responsible for partnering with our Digital Technology organization to drive internal transformation of the GEA Supply Chain.
As a subject matter expert within this team, you’ll be placed within 1 of the 6 pillar teams: Assembly ERP, Assembly MES/MOM, Component ERP, Component MES/MOM, Procurement or Logistics/Warehousing.
As a Senior Manufacturing Project & Initiatives Leaders, you will collaborate across all stake-holding organizations to execute the Engines Modernization charter of modernizing and improving business processes, digital systems execution and user experience for the GEA internal supply chain. This role will engage with our supply chain site users, the Evendale based Engine Modernization team and partner with DT to shift transactional processes into to a modern set of systems. The role has autonomy and is focused on execution of a project plan that delivers tangible business benefit through transformation. This is a transformational role within the Supply Chain organization.
This role is based in Evendale (Cincinnati), OH. There is also remote consideration for this role, however, will need to work EST hours.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
Function as a subject matter expert in the designated supply chain process area (Manufacturing Operations, Procurement or Logistics/Warehousing)
Use process improvement methodologies, expertise and judgement to creatively address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk
Act as a deliverable owner, identify risks, escalate, and propose risk mitigation strategies as it relates to solution development and overall timeline
Clearly communicate functional requirements to Digital Technology partners to develop the best fit solution
Lead and contribute to the improvement of supply chain processes aligned to business priorities
Lead, engage with and advocate for the supply chain user base
Collaborate will the Digital Technology organization to develop solutions to support the manufacturing user community
Actively communicate and cooperate with internal partners and stakeholders
Be a change accelerator – form and retain stakeholder teams, navigate cross functionally and bring team members to consensus. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of Manufacturing Operations, Procurement or Logistics/Warehousing and technology. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of Supply Chain/Manufacturing Operations experience)
