The Fuel System Senior Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance and repair on airport fueling and glycol systems and associated infrastructures to ensure fuel quality and equipment meets ATA 103, ASTM and OEM standards for the Airport Authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Day to Day Activities:

Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs all aspects of the fuel system, glycol system and fuel facility mechanical and electrical components.
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs fuel/glycol pumps, motors, filter vessels, valves, piping (above & below ground) and other components of the fuel/glycol systems.
Inspects and performs preventive maintenance/repairs on hydrant pits, hydrant valve assemblies, and isolation vaults.
Performs quality assurance checks/tests on incoming and stored fuel products.
Assists vendors with fuel/glycol system operations.
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual facility inspections.
Monitors and performs routine maintenance on cathodic protection systems.
Maintains records, reports, and inspection checklists.
Assists with snow removal; and maintains fuel facility.
Performs related work as required.

Hiring Range – Minimum $27.90 and Maximum to commensurate with experience
Minimum Qualifications, Required Licenses or Certifications, Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or equivalency
Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance. Electrical maintenance and fuel testing experience a plus.
Required Licenses or Certifications – N/A
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Knowledge of:

Mechanical and Hydraulic principles, troubleshooting, and repair
Automation controls of computerized system
Quality standards in relation to fuel receipt and dispensing
Laboratory testing and testing equipment for fuel quality
Repair methods and tools for electrical and electronic equipment
FAA standards, rules, and regulations for airport operations, development projects, and aircraft operations
Airport bulk fuel storage and distribution facilities and equipment, glycol storage and distribution systems and components, fuel transportation infrastructure, devices and systems and fuel dispensing systems and components
Airport fueling and/or glycol system operations, maintenance, and repair standards, esp. Air Transport Association of America standards
Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment

Skill in:

Use and operation of hand and power tools
Mechanical and Hydraulic troubleshooting/maintenance
Written and verbal communication
Analysis and problem solving
Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships
Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
