Position Title: Senior Analyst Future SchedulesPosition SummaryThe Senior Analyst works with the Scheduling Planning and Route Planning teams on medium and long range aircraft schedules, and transition of working schedules to the Current Schedules team.
Essential Responsibilities
Develops and monitors long-term and medium-term aircraft schedules
Works with all Operations departments on future schedule issues to ensure schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, staffing plans and meets the company’s operating metrics.
Maintains daily fleet plan and integrates the capacity plan into operable schedules and statistics.
Works closely with the Route Planning team to adjust schedules to align with passenger demand and P&L performance in new and existing markets.
Creates ad-hoc schedule scenarios to support Commercial and Operational decisions, projects and analysis
Analyzes and adjusts aircraft routing to support on-time performance and maintenance programs
Responsible for maintaining schedule constraint tables and block time files in Schedule Manager
Supports Schedule Extension process for Commercial team and process for new route and city launches.
Coordinates with Charter Department on aircraft availability and charter schedule development
Assists and leads special projects, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Three (3) years of resource planning experience or similar airline experience
Ability to work well with all levels of leadership regarding the schedule
Able to visualize the ultimate plan and work with all the operating departments to help them fully understand the schedule and put it into action
Able to effectively handle numerous schedules and scheduling issues at the same time
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication ability
Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Business, Economics, Civil or Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Transportation Planning or Computer studies
Five (5) years of airline Schedule Planning experience
Understanding of airline scheduling, maintenance requirements, flight crew issues, station limitations, reservations issues, etc. and be proficient with the tools that optimize the utilization of the fleet
Crewmember Expectations:
Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
