We are seeking afull-time Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technicianfor our flight operations team based atGarmin’s New Century airport facility in Gardner, Kansas. In this role, youll perform inspection and repair of company aircraft and provide support for engineering, research and development, and certification projects. Candidates must be willing to work overtime and to work a flexible schedule when needed.

Essential functions include:

Maintain aircraft in accordance with current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations

Perform routine to complex aircraft maintenance activities including but not limited to oil and filter changes, tire maintenance, light-bulb and battery replacements and general aircraft servicing as well as performing aircraft weighing and major repairs and alterations

Assist with tracking aircraft inspection status and forecasting inspection schedules

Prepare logbook entries for inspections

Mentor less-experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician 1 and 2 technicians

Comply with Department of Transportation (Use the “Apply for this Job” box below). be willing to work overtime and a flexible schedule if needed

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED SPECIFIC TO THIS

ROLE:

Must possess a High School Diploma  a minimum of 10 years relative aircraft maintenance experience

Must possess an Aircraft Mechanics certificate with an Airframe and Powerplant rating and Inspection Authorization

Ability tolead inspections on small single and multiengine aircraft

Ability toperform routine and complex maintenance items with no assistance / supervision

Ability totroubleshoot and resolve routine discrepancies with limited assistance

Ability tointerpret simple wiring diagrams without assistance

Demonstrate an understanding of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations

Proficiency with towing and taxiing aircraft

Ability toprepare required aircraft logbook entries for inspections

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency using Microsoft Office products
