In this Global role, you will be responsible for ensuring overall Engineering execution excellence for New Product Introduction (NPI) for Military aviation programs. You will also be an active participant in Sector and Engineering Leadership teams, ensuring technical solutions and initiatives are fully integrated into functional and Group business objectives, priorities, and mission, by working closely with Group and Sector functions to assess present and future business needs and direction. This role spans the bidding process through the life of the program, with a heavy emphasis on two areas: ensure programs are set up for success early in the process and ensure major in-service issues are resolved quickly and cost effectively with an eye toward positive customer relationship. You will Initiate and enforce risk reduction techniques to reduce impacts to schedule, technical solutions and cost over runs.

Will work with Engineering, Sector, and Program leadership to ensure product & development projects are set up, executed, and supported through the lifecycle including In-service issues.
Responsible for on-time, on-budget execution of programs.
Work to solve product issues in-service before they become a customer focus. In addition, ensure customer satisfaction while providing solutions for any major in service issue identified by the customer.
Directly responsible for developing processes and talent for integrated product team leaders, project engineering and entry into service (EIS) issue resolution & tracking.
Individual must be a systematic thinker with the ability to understand how engineering interacts and influences the balance of Aircraft Group business.
Provides significant guidance on business decisions that will have long-term financial and strategic impact. Effectiveness of these decisions relate directly to the profitability of the Aircraft Group.
Provides the engineering and business acumen for resolution of technical issues related to the product and manufacturing integrity, manufacturing process, and customer interface for Aircraft Group products and Supplier processes.
Cross functional collaboration with peer group and other functional leaders to achieve group level goals
Keeps abreast of innovative technologies and trends for future implementation in alignment to Group and Sector strategies.


At least 10 years’ experience as a Manager in a leadership role. Relevant industry experience is highly desirable, as the successful candidate must be technically strong and familiar with Engineering processes.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; an advanced (graduate level) degree in Engineering is a plus.
Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to quickly and effectively resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade in situations where emotions can run high and pressure to perform is great.
Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively within a multicultural geographically dispersed environment.
Must be a strong leader of people and team builder, as well as an excellent communicator at all levels both internally and externally.
Comfortable with the creation of training materials, and one-on-one mentoring of Project Engineers and IPT Leads
Demonstrated history of building effective relationships with functional teams and customers.
Demonstrated ability to manage “by influence” across a broad set of Directors and Managers responsible for engineering and program management functions.
Possess strong analytical abilities and be able to prioritize, coordinate and manage complex operational issues and processes
Possesses a strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques and other industry-recognized performance measures.
Must be able to influence decisions in all functions within the Group that impact technical integrity, cost, deliveries and customer relationship
Ability to travel internationally and domestically at least 20%
