Role and Responsibilities

The Sales Account Manager (SAM) role will center around customer retention, growing existing business (wallet share) and securing new business. The SAM will use a CRM database to communicate with existing customers via phone, email, and chat, with the goal of booking clients for their Maintenance training.

This position is focused on securing Maintenance training revenue with new and existing customers to meet and exceed order intake and revenue targets.

The ideal applicant will be sales motivated, detail and process-driven, displaying excellent communications skills. This position has a strong focus on inside sales, account retention and schedule coordination to help achieve increased market share and revenue growth.

POSITION PROFILE:
Accountable for achieving assigned revenue goals by securing new CAE Maintenance training clients and increasing revenue from existing customer base

Lead and manage a specific set of prescribed business aviation accounts. The SAM drives product and service revenue growth through managing relationships with customers, leveraging the entire CAE organization

Provides the primary interface between existing customers and CAE in all sales-related matters (e.g. proposal/quotation preparation, presentations, customer site visits, problem escalation, manage cancellation fees, etc.), engaging other internal resources when required

Positive customer relationship, responding to the client with a confident and timely solution and being creative to avoid conflicts and ensure a seamless training experience from booking to course completion

Being proactive by anticipating training needs of the client by making the best decisions to ensure proper revenue mix, customer needs and instructor availability

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

Ensure that each new account has signed a contract with all appropriate terms and conditions and all reporting and CRM entry is done accurately and on-time

Accountable for maintaining Maintenance training opportunities pipeline with consistent close rate

Work with Sales Leadership and finance to forecast revenue monthly & quarterly targets for the Maintenance training business

QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree (engineering, commerce, business) or equivalent

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Aviation Maintenance sales

Must be able to work in a culturally diverse group

Requires a strong background in Aviation Maintenance

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; as this position requires selling over the phone and the ability to communicate effectively

Must be customer service oriented

Solid negotiation skills

Strong listening skills

Exceptional sales presentation, communication and organizational skills

Experienced “Closer” with proven results

Strong network in Business Aviation Maintenance, including MROs is an asset

Attend industry events as scheduled and make customer visits as required

Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
