Regulatory Compliance Risk Officer Job at James Richardson Group – in Sydney NSW

We hold the title of the world’s second largest duty free retailer, operating 20 duty free stores, and our eyes are now firmly fixed on the opening of our new 3,000 M2 Flagship store in the heart of Sydney’s luxury retail precinct.

This beautifully renovated store on the corner of Market and Pitt will span over 3 floors, and we are looking for an experienced Loss Prevention professional to join our team.

This role will see you responsible for the protection of Lotte Duty Free property and assets, and provide guidance and training to Management and staff on good loss prevention practices across the business. You will ensure Duty Free compliance to Federal and State Government Acts & Regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with Management at both the administration and store level to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.

Work closely with relevant Government Departments, Airport Management and Aviation Security departments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Be the subject matter expert on stock integrity and provide advise accordingly. Assist in the development and implementation of stock loss store level strategies.

Supervise store and warehouse stock takes and the reporting of results

Monitor and report on all stock adjustment at Bond and store level.

Assist in the monitoring and implementation of business process improvements

Provide adhoc administrative assistance to the Compliance Manager as requested.

Conducting or assisting with investigations

Ensure that security systems are maintained in good working order.

Carry out regular reviews of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of physical security technology

Demonstrate sound knowledge of stock integrity practices, including security risk management.

Ability to manage competing deadlines and provide resolution to intermediate level problems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)

High level of attention to detail.

Strong analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a part of the team

Knowledge and experience in monitoring and implementing procedures and processes.

Intermediate Microsoft office suite skills
