Quality Oversight Manager Job at GardaWorld – in Edmonton, AB
We are currently hiring two Quality Oversight Managers to ensure quality control for the Edmonton International Airport through the provision of oversight, positive feedback, coaching and mentoring.
GardaWorld is the largest provider of aviation services for the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), offering screening services in 28 airports across Canada.
Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Oversight and monitoring of compliance and checkpoint performance
Independently observes work procedures following through on any Standard Operating Procedure, (SOP) not met or understood with positive feedback, coaching & mentoring or Corrective Action as required
Intervenes if aspects of the screening process are not completed or if critical aspects of the screening process are performed incorrectly
Oversees and documents compliance with CATSA s SOPs
Collects data to measure SOP compliance and Screening Officer performance, highlighting issues and trends to assist with continuous improvement, root-cause analysis and internal Performance Improvement Plans
Assists with site inspections, breach investigations and infiltration test investigations
Assists various departments with continuous improvement initiatives
Interfaces with management meetings where Screening Officer performance is evaluated and a follow-up is planned
Performs as a Quality Oversight Manager in other airports in the Prairies region

Skills / Experience:
Required
Minimum 1 year s experience in a related role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, (fluent in English, with French fluency an asset)
High level of comfort dealing with a variety of interactions / escalations
Demonstrates comprehension of standard operating procedures
Experience in the Aviation industry is an asset
Current or recent Transport Security Clearance is preferred
Experience in providing training and oversight is an asset
Highly organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work within a structured, highly regulated environment
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Professional demeanour with the ability to develop cooperative working relationships in all areas of the business
Easily adaptable to change and must embrace new challenges
Reliable, independent and able to handle stress
Mandatory Requirements:
Post-Secondary education in related field or combination of education and work experience
Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident as defined in the Immigration Act with an employment authorization document
No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted
18 years of age or older
Willing and able to work outside regular working hours and able to work shifts
Able to travel across the Prairies region as required, (minimal requirement)

Travel may be required for training. Other travel may be requested when assistance is required at other airports.
