Job Summary The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for collecting and storing data on quality metrics, defects, customer issues, or other data related to quality and/or reliability of our aircraft. The analyst will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help people, the business, and support organizations make better decisions. Job Responsibilities – Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and validation of documents regarding quality data requirements. – Assists the quality team to visualize the state of their business with respect to quality both internally and from the external impact to the customer. – Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion. – Managing users and user roles. – Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with other support groups when necessary. – Process confidential data and information according to guidelines. – Develop reports and analysis from various systems. – Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata. – Collaborate and support initiatives for data integrity and normalization. – Evaluate changes and updates to existing data collection systems. – Train end users on new reports and dashboards. – Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. – Establish and lead Quality Analytics Committee driving consistency and best practices among all Quality Data Analysts. – Facilitate cross-functional projects in support of Quality initiatives. – Provide recommendations to the business for new initiatives to support business objective Education/ Experience – Bachelor’s Degree required in Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related field – Experience in data analytics, information technology, or another relative field is preferred Qualificatons – Good business acumen and business process knowledge – Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Possesses good organizational and time management skills – Preferred work experience as a data analyst or in related field. – Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks. – Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations. – Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms. – High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases. – Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases. – High-level written and verbal communication skills. – Must be an experienced user in Microsoft products, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word. – Preferred experience in Microsoft Power BI or similar business analytic tools. – Drive and desire to excel in an autonomous environment – Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects – Desire and ability to learn and leverage new software tools and processes in a self-learning environment EEO Statement Textron is committed to providing Equal Opportunity in Employment, to all applicants and employees regardless of, race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, military status, veteran status, handicap, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.
