Position OverviewThe Proposal Writer & Knowledge Manager will be responsible to produce persuasive, accurate, well-written, properly formatted private sector and government proposals. They will ensure on time submissions to provide maximum chance of success.
Job Responsibilities
Support Business Operations (BO/sales) personnel with proposal development
Coordinate needs for each effort to include a thorough review of the solicitation, posting milestones, coordinating with stakeholders, writing the proposal, and preparing proposal for final submission
Write technically detailed documents (proposals, RFIs/RFPs, IT questionnaires) as required using internal established Knowledge Library and competitive data
Develop guidance and policies on Knowledge Management practices and technology including knowledge library capture, creation, updating, and maintenance; distinguish between types of knowledge, and determine how it will be shared, controlled, and made easily accessible for staff
Consult with key stakeholders on improving proposal processes to drive efficiency and reduce duplication of efforts between the different divisions
Collaborate within the Business Operations Team, Marketing, and Account Management Teams
Develop a thorough understanding of Global Guardian, service offerings, culture, and differentials
Coordinate with Marketing for graphic, collateral, and custom proposal-related assets as needed
Prepare proposal presentation Power Point decks
Execute capture of government opportunities using GovSpend
Write and coordinate Federal & State Government solicitation efforts
Other duties as assigned
Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3+ years of experience with writing and knowledge management projects preferred
Excellent written communication skills
Experience with knowledge library platforms such as RFP360 or RFPIO preferred
Experience with Government proposal writing preferred
Experience with GovSpend or similar opportunity aggregator platforms preferred
General knowledge of response guidelines to include GSA MSA Schedule preferred
Possess excellent time management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize information into concise and high-quality products
