We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the Operational Compliance Group at GA-ASI, located in Poway, CA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for ensuring company compliance with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) regulations, overseeing any required corrective actions, and coordinating all formal responses to governmental inquiries. Continually reviews status of the project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget. Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer.

Assist in management of the company Aviation Safety Management System.

Maintain a working knowledge and oversight of all Government Flight Representative (GFR) approved ground and flight operations procedures.

Maintain a working knowledge of all DCMA regulations affecting GA-ASI ground and flight operations.

Collect and provide corporate inputs to DCMA regulators for issues affecting company operations.

Submit, monitor, and manage any required waivers to DCMA regulations.

Investigate problem areas and interface with various engineering, operations, maintenance, and supply personnel to evaluate scope and risk of an issue, gain acceptance of potential recommendations, facilitate customer adoption, and track and status to full issue resolution.

Develop mechanisms to track and report the status of recommended improvements across the company product line and customer base.

Assist in the development and management the aviation safety database.

Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet company and customer objectives.

Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to employees working on the assigned program.

Identify and assess aviation safety issues and assist in developing solutions to meet safety goals and objectives, while maintaining productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Draft and publish aviation safety memos outlining an issue and its potential solution.

May participate in, or lead presentations to customers and executive management on the technical aspects of an issue, the proposed solution, and the status of implementation.
