Project Manager Job at Animal Dynamics – in Oxford
As a Project Manager joining a growing Project Management Organisation (PMO), you will have an opportunity to shape, introduce and maintain processes across the organisation to progress from concept to completion on cutting-edge, autonomous vehicles. We are a small but scaling company focused on projects combining innovative mechanical design with state-of-the-art autonomy, within regulated industries. You will add your skills and experience to the PMO and use your exceptional communication and organisational abilities to work directly with teams and individuals across the business to deliver top quality projects on-cost and on-time.
Responsibilities… what will you do?
As Project Manager you will be responsible for:
Working with others in engineering and management to determine the project objectives, responsibilities, and schedule
Developing and maintaining project plans, including project scope, task planning, resource allocation, risk management, budget planning and other related activities as required
Planning and managing the project(s) to ensure they remain on schedule and within budget
Preparing project reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends
Proactively work with the teams to remove blockers, solve problems and deliver results
Deliver presentations and reports to the project team, senior management, and/or customer personnel in a clear and concise manner
Act within the PMO as the central resource for the project with design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality
Identify gaps, inconsistencies & inefficiencies in process and propose, implement and rollout changes
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and support engineering change control processes
Essential skills and experience… what are we looking for?
You will have the following skills and experience:
Ability to work across multiple disciplines
Experience working within Quality standards such as ISO 9000, ISO 21500 or AS9100
Experience managing projects including mechanical design & engineering, embedded electronics, and/or within the aviation sector
A self-starter with superior analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills with proven history of working under pressure to manage deadlines
Excellent IT skills, including but not limited to MS Office, SharePoint, Atlassian Jira (or other ticket tracking solutions)
Good interpersonal skills with a high degree of persistence and diligence
Desirable skills and experience:
Qualified or experience in a formal project management methodology, such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or Agile development methodologies
Working knowledge of V-Model for systems engineering
Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Familiarity with civil airworthiness, EASA safety aviation requirements

Competitive salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience

This is a full-time position but part-time would be considered for the right candidate.
