If so, we are looking for a Project Management Project Director to join our team in Southampton to work across various projects in the public and private sector. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Our Southampton Project Management Team:
A team of 15 Project Managers who deliver complex and exciting projects throughout the region, and overseas, in a range of sectors.

The team forms part of the wider 50+ project management team in our South region across our Southampton, Basingstoke and Oxford offices, which is in turn part of our 925-strong national UK&I Programme, Project & Cost Consultancy business unit.

Job Responsibilities:
You will:

  • be the right-hand person to the Project Management Team Director, running and managing the team day-to-day.
  • be required to lead full multi-discipline commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery with the support of other Directors.
  • need to provide oversight / strategic guidance/audit & review of a portfolio of projects at any one time.
  • ensure commissions are managed to the highest quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
  • develop strong relationships with clients and members of cross-functional teams.
  • seek out and secure new work opportunities with new and existing clients and working alongside the Project Management Team Director to grow the portfolio in the Southampton Office.
  • oversee the team of Project Managers, assisting them with their projects as well as mentoring and developing their careers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification (MRICS, MAPM etc)
  • Significant experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor and grow a team
  • Demonstrable success in winning new work and growing client relationships
  • Demonstrable track record in successfully delivering complex projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate
