Job Description SummaryAs a Production Supervisor, you will perform tasks related to receiving, stockroom, releasing materials into production and shipping. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies and review of end results. The job allows modification to procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (safety, quality, volume, timeliness etc.).Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
Lead employees to receive, stock incoming goods and shipping OEM and Repair parts. This includes ERP knowledge, managing a stocking strategy, completing work order picks in a timely manner, and shipping material to meet on time delivery to our customers.
This job requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
Has knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others. Work in a cross-functional team to support production operations, identify issues, and implement corrective action/sustainable solutions.
Participate in and lead process improvement projects, value stream mapping events, and Kaizen events/lean projects. Utilizes lean manufacturing skills to improve inventory accuracy and TAT.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Materials Management, or Supervision).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Materials Management, or Supervision.
Experience with ERP (Oracle preferred) and understanding of business KPI’s around safety, quality, cost (inventory) and delivery.
Ability to lead a team and influence others; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to mentor and develop others’ technical skills and professional ability.
Ability to set priorities and execute schedule to achieve milestones/objectives.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
