Collins Aerospace is looking for an Indirect Procurement Buyer who will be able to provide delivery assurance in a fast-paced environment. Buyer will ensure that the day-to-day indirect supply chain management activities such as placing purchase orders and managing suppliers are executing at the highest quality and on-time delivery at the best cost to meet our financial goal. The buyer will interact with multiple stakeholders in a variety of departments. In addition, this job will play an essential role in developing and managing the supplier relationship in collaboration with Supply Chain Sourcing.
Primary Responsibilities
Request for RFQ’s, expedite shipments, negotiate prices, payment terms & Po placement
Deliver the highest customer service to Stakeholders
Communicate status updates to internal customers
Interact with all levels of staff and management
Meet multiple deadlines and ensure targets are identified and met
Drive on-time deliveries on all shipments
Participate in Continuous Improvement events and activities
Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity in collaboration with Supply Chain Sourcing
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Experience with Supply Chain processes, supplier interface, and purchase order placement.
Understanding of contract structures, business terms, and conditions.
Proficient in Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations to visually show the current status of projects.
Able to communicate to senior leadership.
Able to travel up to 20% domestically as needed (when the current environment allows)
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship nor or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish
Experience with Continuous Improvement
Aerospace Industry experience
