This position is directly associated with the Aviation Field, (Preferably Powerplant)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clarify engine repair workscopes and associated work instructions to Operation Department.
  • Perform technical advisory in engine disassembly, repair, and assembly.
  • Support other functions to include Materials and Quality in routine technical questoins and issues.

Key Job Requirements:

  • Support Operations in solving any assembly/configuration/inspection problems.
  • Clarify aircraft engine repair workscopes and associated work instructions to the Operations Department.
  • Prepare workscopes and work instructions for engine repairs (include Service Bulletins, FAA Directives/Advisories, performance requirements, modification).
  • Create workscope revisions timely to promote flow of engine repair.
  • Support troubleshooting rejected engines from test cell.
  • Support/advise other shop areas on technical issues related to quality, operations processes, materials and customer support.
  • Drive cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency by optimizing and improving shop processes, in overall shop practices.
  • Assisted Quality Assurance activities, reviews, interpretation of various manuals.
  • Always provide alternate material analysis, and process revisions.
  • Introduce new technology and repairs, and monitor process results.
  • Assist in training mechanics, inspectors and others on technical issues.
  • Continuously improve various programs, policies, and procedures. Complete all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in various Engineering in (Aerospace or related fields).
  • 2 years direct experience in engine overhaul facility or at engine OEM.
  • Experience in GE engines necessary, CF6 engines is a plus.
  • A&P license preferred.
  • Familiarity with DER repairs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • PC proficiency required, MS office software.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
