Position SummaryThe Office Building Engineer’s primary responsibilities will include the inspections of building systems and daily maintenance of our Summerlin office building portfolio. The Office Building Engineer will assist with all property services with outside contractors in completing construction, maintenance and other projects.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Utilize advanced skills to diagnose complex issues with building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Perform maintenance/repairs on air conditioning, heating, electrical and plumbing systems, water and sewer lines, roofing, tile, carpet, flooring, doors, windows, gas and electric boilers, chillers, walls and ceilings, security system, tile, other equipment as required.

Perform preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

Maintains Angus Tenant Work Order System.

Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.

Respond to AFTER HOURS emergency calls portfolio-wide as part of a scheduled rotating shift.

Estimate cost of work for budgetary purposes; obtain materials necessary to complete building maintenance.

Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Maintain fire and life safety standards.

Maintain and complies with MSDS manuals.

Member of the facility emergency team and safety inspection team.

Perform general maintenance and repairs, as assigned.

Effectively interact with tenants, customers and co-workers and contractors.

Assist Marketing/Business Development and other special events on property.

Utilize BMS system for programming and building system adjustments.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years’ Facility Maintenance or Trade/Field related experience in commercial buildings.

Knowledgeable of OSHA and NFPA Standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work with little supervision.
