bp has an accelerated EV and convenience growth strategy in Europe. It is anticipated that more than 70% of the growth footprint will be outside the existing retail forecourts. This requires us to rapidly access new sites at pace and scale across Europe to support the EV business growth plans over the next decade.
The role of the Network Planning and Strategy Manager is to:
- Develop and maintain the strategic network plan for rapid EV and convenience growth across the European clusters & markets aligned to the key customers segments and customer journey
- Develop the centre of expertise and create a community of practice across the network analysts to co-ordinate and develop market plans for the growth program
- Own and deploy the real estate evaluation tools, ensuring consistency of application and implementation across all markets.
What the role does!
Network Strategy and Implementation: develop the network strategy including accountability for ensuring that the intent of European network strategy is reflected in all cluster and market plans (macro and micro insight into Europe)
Compile cluster and market plans that can accelerate growth performance in line with 5–10-year outlook based on individual site action plans.
Provide the framework to ensure that plans are consistently prepared and updated, with all ATNs and FM developed in line with network plans, including the financial framework and GIAAP guidelines
Develop and identify internal and external sources of market information, including competitor network strategies
Network team: Dotted line accountability for supervising and managing network analysts that are within the clusters and markets, including the appraising and skills development of the team
A key member of the European real estate team providing a knowledge base for best practice and representing the Real Estate team in agile value stream squads
Co-ordinate with the cluster/ market real estate managers and GMs to deliver the network growth strategy and with ESA M&C to support key areas such as CVP&E, Operations, Performance and Planning
Key contributor and participant in agile squads within FM&S and wider C&P, including key partnership projects that require real estate expertise and for deals that span multiple countries.
Ensure the EV network strategy and plans are consistent with bp CoC and all HSSE standards and principles
What we need from you!
We are looking for someone with a degree level qualification in economics, finance or equivalent. You will have a deep experience in network development and an advanced understanding of the European market and sources of value that are relevant to EV and convenience growth. Experience working in real estate, strategy and data projects is essential.
To be successful in the role you will need strong project management, communication and influencing skills; be a self-starter with drive and motivation.
