National Operations Manager Job at Assetlink – in New South Wales


Established in 1993, Assetlink is an Australian owned facilities services provider with over 3,000 people serving over 1,200 customers in Australia and New Zealand. Specialising in the provision of integrated or single facilities services, Assetlink support clients to manage their assets and operations in the commercial, retail, aviation, health & aged care and mining sectors.

In this new role of National Operations Manager – National Networks, you will be an integral member of the national Operational Leadership Team and contribute to contract retention, category growth and profitability.

The role is based in our Head Office in Gladesville, Sydney, NSW, but could also be based in VIC or QLD.

What you will be doing:
Own operational delivery of the Assetlink network clients

Manage and foster a scalable operational delivery team to exceed service excellence expectations

Lead and develop regional operations managers – develop capability, drive consistent delivery and leverage best practice / continuous improvement

Manage sub-contractor performance from initial procurement and contract negotiation through to operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement

Drive measurable performance to meet and exceed client objectives and Assetlink strategic priorities

Be uncompromising on safety for teams, clients and sites

Own the Profit and Loss – drive contract growth, cost management and sustainable profitability

Partner with the Account and BD teams to ensure successful contract extensions, renewals and drive the pipeline for additional client growth

Utilise and leverage robust technology platforms to deliver transparent and consistent contract compliance

You will have a minimum 10 years’ experience in the following areas:

cleaning and property soft services industry sectors

regional team leadership success of managing branch network properties / network cleaning accounts for large-scale clients

demonstrated capability in leading and developing large national teams (> 500 employees and service providers)

To be successful in the role, you will have:
Ability to bring together diverse and regionally based teams to deliver measurable outcomes for safety, quality, consistency, compliance and continuous improvement

Experience in managing sub-contractor strategic partners for procurement and contract negotiations

Demonstrated experience of driving coordinated national strategic initiatives such as negotiation with sub-contractors to support delivery of Indigenous engagement targets

Proactive customer service orientation – capability to anticipate potential challenges / opportunities, develop solutions and recommendations to maximise value

Strong financial acumen and exceptional attention to detail

High EQ and ability to develop trusting relationships via superior interpersonal skills

Strong Work Ethic – self driven with integrity and a high sense of urgency

Technically competent with modern technology platforms / applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, ERP systems, work order management applications, iAuditor, etc.)
