What the position is:
The Managing Director of Tech Ops Planning and Strategy are responsible for producing and maintaining the fleet size and health needed to meet Mainline network needs. This is accomplished through strategic planning using all company resources and efficient planning to produce sustained fleet health. This position is expected to be located at headquarters in North Olmsted, OH.
Essential functions:
Management of outsourced heavy maintenance to include provider contracts as well as ensuring the planning teams create workload plans that meet all regulatory compliance while also balancing yield production capabilities.
Developing a system for planning and scheduling long and short-term aircraft maintenance requirements that provide efficient utilization of equipment, manpower, and facilities.
Ensuring thorough coordination with all departments.
Preparation of fleet plans, scheduled maintenance plans, and HMV hangar plans in a timely and consistent manner to allow efficient execution of plans by production.
Keeping the planning department positions filled and personnel properly trained to create a strong efficient working group.
General requirements & qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required in aviation-related or engineering field or equivalent
Extensive aviation-related or engineering experience shall be considered for education equivalency
Airframe and Powerplant certificate preferred
Extensive working knowledge of:
Relational databases, MRO, and ERP systems and software
Maintenance Programs/MRB; CASS
Maintenance and Material Planning
Analytics and application to aircraft maintenance programs
Vendor contracting process and control
Oral and written communication and organizational skills
Ability to provide leadership and work direction
General business knowledge
