Maintenance Planner Job at Brussels Airlines – in Zaventem

Job Objectives

Within the Part 145 department, you schedule all preventive and corrective maintenance on the Brussels Airlines fleet to have a balanced aircraft maintenance input plan and to produce work packages for each of these inputs which are then transferred to the production department for completion. The maintenance input plan must be prepared taking into account following variables:

aircraft maintenance tasks limits & due dates (from AMOS)

hangar space availability (or slot availability in case of contracted out maintenance)

aircraft downtime availability

manpower availability (in case of maintenance performed by Brussels Airlines Part145)

parts & tooling availability

Key Result Areas

Organising the maintenance slots of the Brussels Airlines fleet in coordination with Network scheduling, MCC and OCC

Compiling work orders and task cards to work packages taken into account all constraints (due dates, resources, skills/qualifications, parts, specific technical constraints)

Set up a long term maintenance plan to avoid aircraft being grounded (maintenance staggering programmes)

Contacts with external parties for specialised outsourcing (eg LDG & engine repair, composite repair, cleaning, …)

Analyse forecast and schedule maintenance tasks such as EO’s, SB’s, C/O’s, ADD’s, life time components

Daily follow-up of planning and adjustments in case of unforeseen events

Calculating forecasts in function of operations and controlling of the maintenance limits

Close cooperation with Logistics, Manpower Planning, Work preparation & Engineering

Required diploma, relevant experience, technical skills an behavioral skills

bachelor degree, preferably in a technical orientation or equal by experience (holding a P66 licence)

Minimum 2 years of working experience in an aviation environment

Strong knowledge of English and Dutch verbal and written skills. French is an advantage

Knowledge of technical English

Basic applications MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Good knowledge of EASA regulations is an asset

Having followed an aircraft technical course is an asset

Experience with AMOS is considered as an advantage

Be able to work under stress and show the necessary flexibility in favour of our flight operations

Have a good team spirit

Strong communication skills and assertiveness combined with diplomacy, able to act as a representative of our company

Self-starter, able to work autonomously and advise work partners

Strong sense of responsibility and work ethics

Ability to comply with rules and procedures

Strong administrative and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy

Reporting to Planner Manager

This is a temporary assignment for 1,5 till 2,5 year.
