Maintenance Mechanic Job at Aerotek in San Jose, CA

Description:

Under direct and indirect supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic’s is responsible for routinely, accurately, and safely

performing/addressing the following: troubleshoot, test, monitor, repair, and maintain the packaging, brewing,

facility machinery and spaces, change over packaging lines, and keep the lines and systems operating safely and

efficiently. The incumbent will also perform steel fabrication, welding, record keeping and organization of

maintenance actions, and operate packaging machines/lines as needed. Additional responsibilities may include; parts

inventory and processing using electronic tools and computer software, driving to pick-up parts, working directly with

the maintenance, brewing, quality, and supply chain & logistics departments; 5-S and Quality Circle activities, and

performing other duties as assigned and/or required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Machinery: Food and Bev environment, GMP apply
  • Working on brewing equipment, tanks, vessels, process piping, motors, valves, switches, controls
  • Expect a mechanic to understand 3 phase power, 480v motors
  • Have working knowledge, and able to troubleshoot
  • Enough knowledge to handle scenarios
  • Specialized mechanics, basic understanding of electrical
  • Packaging automated machinery as well for glass bottles and aluminum cans
  • Preference from food and bev candidates
  • Relative work experience: 8 years in something similar ( aviation, marine, )
  • No commercial maintenance background
  • Need people that can be independent relatively quickly
  • Training would be not very long 2-3 months
  • Work order system, what is plant telling us to do, FIIX work order system, ERP and preventative maintenance
  • Report to senior manager of maintenance and engineering

Air frame, engines, fuel systems, oil systems, will be transferrable to us

  • Person will need to do some facilities work: light plumbing, HVAC systems,
