Maintenance Engineer Required

We are currently recruiting for Maintenance Engineer in Castle Donington, East Midlands Airport.

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Hours: (40 Hour Week) rotating Days/Nights – will include some weekend working

Location: East Midlands Airport (DE74 2TR)

Rate of Pay: 35-42K Per Year

Start Date: End of April

Duration: Ongoing

Role of a Maintenance Engineer:
It is the role of the Sort Maintenance department to work collectively to minimise

Autosort downtime and maximise Autosort functionality.

On a day-to-day basis, this role is responsible for maintaining and

repairing all aspects of the Sortation system and to ensure procedures are followed and advise on keeping the automated

sort system maintained and functional

Maintenance Engineer Duties:
Maintain the Autosort and conveyor equipment and ensure it is kept functional at all times.

Respond to call out queries and allocate recourses to reactive repairs as required.

Follow maintenance procedures for the EMA Autosort.

Carry out daily/weekly PPM’s, maintenance inspections of all MHE and sort systems.

Detect and correct or report all defects to Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Carry out all maintenance and repairs on all MHE systems.

Carry out conveyor inspections and repairs

Report information to the Sort Maintenance Manager in a timely and accurate way to assist with reporting, and

enable the exploration of solutions to maintenance issues.

Assist electrical/facilities maintenance teams as and when required

Assist with parts/spares/stores deliveries

Assist with control of contractors

Working at heights from ladders/cherry pickers.

Explore and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities where necessary.

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and make recommendation on fixing technical problems

Liaise with service partners to organise workshop activity for repairing and testing parts.
