Logistics Operations Lead

About the role

The Logistics Operations Lead is responsible for managing all operational aspects of cartage contracts ensuring excellent customer service and delivery performance. The role spans across multiple areas of the business including Sales, Retail, Terminal Operations, Airport Operations, Supply, all teams within Logistics as well as Customers. The role will act as the key conduit between these areas and Carriers in the management of all supply chain activities, including continuous improvement and crisis management.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have expertise, knowledge or a background within Distribution Industry and Road Transport. You will have a passion for leadership, building strong relationships, stakeholder management, supplier management and practical experience in applying Safety Awareness to your role.

Ideally you will have the following specific experience;

Experience in Fuel Logistics (transport) or similar operational scope desirable.

Experience in truck fleet operations transporting dangerous goods.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage and influence people working across multiple internal and external interfaces.

Strong ability to multitask and prioritise, working efficiently and effectively, particularly on urgent issues under pressure.

Ability to work as part of a virtual team as well as autonomously.
