Job Description

We look forward to you joining us as an intern (d/f/m) at the department of Airspace Control C2 Solutions with focus on systems engineering and/or prototype development (35 hours/week, flexi-time).

Within the field of Airspace Control Applications we design and develop Air Surveillance Systems for different domains. The focus of this internship lies in the evaluation of new technologies like ADS-B for existing system solutions and possibilities to make optimal use of them. Tasks range from system’s design to implementing data fusion algoritms as well as test and verification of their quality.
Tasks:
Gain an insight into the field of Air Surveillance Systems with a focus on data fusion algorithms in Multi-Sensor-Multi-Target Tracking
Support the daily engineering business of technology developments
Support the design and implementation of new algorithms related to tracking and sensor assessment
Support the design of algorithm integration to an existing Multi-Sensor-Multi-Target system
Company internal documentation and presentation
Work and cooperate with an internal team of different disciplines
Possibility of follow-on Thesis
You offer:
Enrolled Student within Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, aviation and aerospace engineering or comparable
Programming experience in Ada, Java, Matlab and/or Python
Good knowledge in Statistics, knowledge in Statistical Data Fusion with focus on tracking welcome
Knowledge in Systems and Software Engineering is welcome
Knowledge in database technologies (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, etc.) is welcome
Curiosity, willingness to work independently, high level of motivation for learning and improvement of skills, personal initiative and the ability for efficient timing
Team spirit and willingness to co-operate and working together in an international Company
Fluent English
