Reviewing derived systems and hardware requirements and interface control drawings.
Designing an installation that meets the system, regulatory, OEM and customer requirements in support of Seat TSO and OEM line-fit and DFP retrofit programs.
Developing the system block diagram, drawing tree, electrical load analysis, commercial parts lists, harness design drawings, and other pertinent documents in support of OEM line-fit and/or DFP retrofit programs.
Working with engineering leadership, PMO and marketing, and supporting 3rd party suppliers with addressing technical issues and supporting schedule and program demands.
Author engineering data which will be checked by peer groups or other project participants.
Check engineering data which is authored by other engineers or project participants.
Work with senior engineers/document approvers to develop the skills to become an approver of engineering documents.
Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation of IFE systems as required.
Provide statements of work, cost estimates, completion schedules and other project administrative inputs.
Practice safety-conscious behaviours in all operational processes and procedures.
Bachelor STEM Degree from an accredited university, and 3 years of related experience in product and/or system development for aviation environment, or 8 years of related experience in product and/or system development for aviation environment.
Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with 2D/3D CAD systems and MS Office programs.
Must be familiar with aviation electrical design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
Must be organized and an effective project manager, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.
Experience with Inflight Entertainment System design, and Integration into Aviation systems and products.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, AutoCAD and SolidWork
