HR Advisor Job at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in London

The HR Advisor will act as the primary point of contact for dedicated business areas as well as assisting two Senior HR Business Partners.

Reporting directly to the Regional Head of HR, the HR Advisor will be responsible for the delivery of HR guidance to their business areas, acting as an advisor to managers with regards to HR initiatives, policies and procedures. The role also collaborates with and supports two Senior HR Business Partners on general tasks, projects and employee relations topics.

##Act as the first line of contact for employees and managers for specific business areas. Play an active role in business activities, understand local business context, issues and challenges to provide specific advice to business managers.

##Support managers to identify and manage high performing/high potential individuals and working in conjunction with learning and development ensure succession is in place for key positions. Work with managers to identify future people requirements.

##Advise managers on employee relations topics (e.g. claims of misconduct, under performance, disciplinary actions, etc)

##Represent the full spectrum of HR programs and processes to the business.

##Consult and support the business in implementation of HR processes in respective business area (e.g. rewards, performance, grading, talent, development, etc.)

##Consult the business on HR policies and processes (e.g. annual compensation/performance reviews)

##Work with the recruitment team on all positions in respective business areas.

##Assist the Senior HR Business Partners with general tasks and employee queries as and when required.

##Support with facilitating international employee moves from arranging local accommodation, organising tax advice, supporting on acquiring visas and assisting with IT / Facilities.

##Collaborate on employee relation and sickness cases, including liaising with occupational health.

##Conduct employee 3 and 18 month check-ins.

##Provide note taking at performance management, employee relations and talent meetings.

##Act as owner of all documentation and data for business area.

##Maintain relevant documentation (e.g. forms, supporting documents) and assure the completeness/accuracy of all data. Ensure all data entry is completed on time and according to standards/guidelines.

##Generate reports or provide data as required, both for the business as well as within HR.

##Support implementation of regional as well as global projects and initiatives in business area, as necessary.

##Champion business change and continuous improvement by proactively engaging with business managers.

##Ad hoc project work – including policy writing, updating the Employee Handbook.

##A first stable experience as HR generalist, preferably in a global organization

##Experience working in a matrix and virtual team environment supporting multiple locations

##Bachelor / Masters degree (or equivalent) in related field preferred

##Knowledge of UK employment law

##Ability to maintain and build relationships with stakeholders at every level

##Ability to negotiate, often in difficult situations, and steer discussions to a desired end

##Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally

##Ability to analyze data from multiple sources

##Able to handle large volumes of work and manage changing priorities

##A positive and flexible work ethic, able to adapt to different tasks according to need, a real “team-player”
