Receiving and confirming catering orders over the phone, email or fax from customers in an accurate and timely manner.
Keeping track of orders in an Excel spreadsheet
Getting payment/credit card information from customers before
Charging credit cards
Reviewing orders for specialty items
Placing orders for specialty items.
Placing restaurant or shopping orders and coordinating pickups
Effectively communicating order information with management and kitchen staff in a timely and professional manner.
Inputting the catering orders into the Quickbooks/QAD system accurately and efficiently.
Following up with customers & ensuring all needs are met.
Shopping for specialty items using a company car/van
Packaging of catering orders per client/company specifications
Delivering orders in a company car/van if needed
Dispatching of drivers on a daily basis and remaining in constant contact with them to ensure on time delivery during shift.
Vehicle inspections upon drivers return.
Filing of paperwork & other miscellaneous tasks.
Other duties as assigned
Hospitality and/or catering (1 Year Minimum). High School Diploma, or some college.
Enjoys creating an exceptional customer service experience by talking to our clients and selling our product with a smile and an enthusiastic demeanor
Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Knowledge of QuickBooks/QAD accounting programs helpful
Detail oriented/time management skills are key
Food and customer service knowledge a plus
Schedule flexibility is a must – Able to work nights, weekends, and holiday when needed.
Able to effectively communicate both verbal and written
English is a must, bilingual is a plus
