Full Job Description
Chicago Jet Group seeks an experienced Flight Coordinator/Scheduler to join our Flight Operations Team. This position will be located at the Aurora Airport (KARR) in Sugar Grove, IL.
This is not a remote position.
Position Overview:
The Flight Coordinator/Scheduler serves as a central point of contact for Chicago Jet Group operations, sales, flight crew and maintenance personnel. Responsible for scheduling, overseeing aircraft, crew activity and trips on behalf of the certificate holder.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, schedule and plan all domestic and international flight movements in accordance with aircraft capabilities, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s), and company policies
- Communicate pertinent trip information to Broker and Sales personnel in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor crew duty time limitations
- Arrange for aircraft service and handling requirements to expedite flight movement
- Assist with crew/passenger hotel, transportation and catering as necessary
- Provide support to Accounting and Parts department with trip, crew, and fuel expenses
- Monitor the progress of flights in real time (day or night) and provide assistance to maximize the safety of flight and operational efficiency.
- Obtain clearances, permits, and authorizations appropriate to international flight operations.
- Conduct preliminary international flight planning, including coordinating routes/technical stops, with the assigned PIC
- Monitor, review for completeness and accuracy, and file all trip records in accordance with Company reporting and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FAA rules, regulations, and company standards
- On call shifts as needed to provide 24/7 coverage
- Other duties as assigned by Chief Pilot and Dispatch Manager
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment while meeting critical timelines
- Experience with computerized scheduling system(s) required. FOS preferred.
- Highly organized, with effective communication skills
- Proven capability with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus.
- In depth knowledge of Part 91 and Part 135 FARs
- Previous experience in the scheduling function in flight operations with a Part 135 operator.
- 3+ years relevant experience
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience.
Job Type:
- Full-time; 2nd shift (1400-2200)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 2nd shift
- The training period (4 weeks) will be during the hours of 0900-1700 M-F.
- On call rotation evening, weekends, and holidays.
