Job SummaryPerform technical research and analysis, from average to high complexity, on issues pertaining to aircraft and component reliability, or in support of management decision making. Track and update special programs. Receives and responds to incoming internal and customer calls.

Job Responsibilities

Work with software products to develop basic to moderately complex databases, spreadsheets, word-processing reports, presentations, charts and graphs, related to technical research projects.

Collect and analyze information from a variety of resources for use in analytical projects. Results may be used in conjunction with management decision making issues, to answer technical inquiries, for technical presentations, or to maintain the status of a particular technical or financial issue. From results attained, propose solutions for product changes, modifications, procedural changes, operating cost reductions, reliability improvements, product safety, or other process improvements.

Work with Information Systems to build computer links to various other databases within Textron Aviation to form a library of information resources to be used in information gathering.

Performs data queries to extract component removal or status information. Use the data for special reports and opportunity identification.

Uses available data to create detailed cost of operation reports for various Citation models. Perform specific research projects such as, man-hour reports for component removals, man-hour reports for phase inspections, and component removal reports.

Provides information feedback to a customer either verbally or in writing, as appropriate.

Maintains Fleet Status by obtaining monthly aircraft hour updates, new aircraft deliveries, projected deliveries, and warranty start dates.

Make oral and written presentations at meetings within Textron Aviation or at field locations. Field trips may also be required to gather information from customers or vendors regarding a research project.

Coordinate with a variety of people including employees, vendors, and customers. Understand the distinctions between proprietary and public information. Maintain congenial but productive relationships with vendors and customers.

Attain technical proficiency on aircraft components and aircraft systems commensurate with job responsibilities.

Conduct, organize, or participate in customer meetings. Obtain information details and updates in preparation for meeting agenda items.

Education/ Experience

Bachelors’ degree required in Aviation, Management, or other related field


Ability to anticipate customer’s needs and demonstrate dedication in meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external Customers

Prior experience navigating within SAP and Lawson preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work with a team

Excellent organizational skills
