FBO Manager Job at Chartright Air Group – in Barrie, ON

Who are we:

Chartright Air Group is one of Canada’s largest operators of private jet aircraft. In operation since the 1980’s, Chartright’s fleet of nearly 50 aircraft regularly fly discerning clients to destinations around the world. In addition to turn-key aircraft management service Chartright also provides full aircraft maintenance capability, FBO services, acquisition council and private jet charter service.

What you will do:

You will ensure the efficient delivery of ground-based services that meet or exceed client requirements. In doing so, you will oversee the entire YLS facility and workforce and will be required to work irregular and on-call hours. You will be involved in tactical as well as strategic decision making and will report to the General Manager, FBO.

  • You will ensure FBO facilities are maintained to the highest level of functionality and cleanliness, promoting a welcoming and professional appearance
  • Your leadership and direction will ensure the delivery of a consistent, dependable, and customer-centric service experience
  • You will oversee the hiring and training of staff
  • You provide input and assistance in the creation of policies and procedures and promote the safe practices that will enable a profitable, enjoyable, and regulatory-compliant work environment
  • You will be responsible for facility and equipment maintenance, including daily inspection of the fuel storage facility in accordance with company procedures
  • Manage fuel inventory and requisition fuel as require
  • Establish vendor relationships; cultivate alliances within the aviation market
  • Interact with customers for the purpose of measuring service satisfaction, promoting brand awareness and cultivating long-term relationships
  • Interact with Chartright Sales to identify and develop growth opportunities
  • Ongoing competitive analysis including product offerings, features, and price points

What you bring:

  • High School diploma
  • Ontario driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Previous management experience with FBO operations
  • Hands-on aircraft refueling and fuel farm management experience with AZ or DZ license
  • Self-starter, able to act independently and under minimal supervision
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to positively relate and communicate
  • Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications
  • Must be able to effectively present information to top management, subordinates, public groups, and/or boards via telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Must possess the competencies of leadership, entrepreneurship, negotiation, influence, operational decision making and customer orientation. Strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess a DZ license, or ability to obtain one immediately
  • Radio license
  • Able to attain a RAAC and AVOP pass
