Job DescriptionFacility Logistics LeadWest Lafayette, INAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join Rolls-Royce’s Defence West Lafayette team as the Facility Site Logistics Lead. In this role you will help enable critical part supply, shape the strategy for future logistics needs, and play a key role in maintaining customer excellence.

You will ensure suppliers meet delivery times and help to source and monitor any new or existing suppliers to make sure they meet quality standards.

Key Accountabilities

Inventory management for specific items which include daily to monthly checks, scheduling, and parts ordering to maintain stock levels and inventory requirements.

Identification of Planning & Control (P&C) hazards that may impact delivery of customer needs and could require work with supply chain for support of thru sourcing activities and execution following agreed plans and timescales.

Logistics transactions (receiving and shipping) and data management which includes record keeping within appropriate systems. Note must be able to handle minimum weight-lifting requirements for one-person lift (30-50lbs).

Knowledge of requirements and processes for international and local shipping.

Product testing prior to shipment to customer as well as verification of product viability once received.

Tool management and control including calibration, check in/out and kitting.

Awareness of operation’s health safety and environmental guidelines and processes.

Basic Qualifications

Associate degree and 2+ years of experience in manufacturing warehouse, logistics/supply chain or business management, OR

Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years in manufacturing warehouse, logistics/supply chain or business management

In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

Adept problem solving

Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers (including international locations)

Prior experience working in a Customer Service/Customer Support Role

Familiarity with aviation material and tooling

Forklift/Warehouse Lift experience

Intermediate to advanced experience with MS program features and functionalities
