An Aviation company is looking for an Electrical Engineer in the Centennial, CO Area. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing Avionic systems for helicopter modifications using AutoCAD and Solidworks. This will be in support of integration for preexisting modules, mainly designing cabling/wiring to properly interface systems. They will support STCs, Field Approvals, ECOs, Analysis, hardware testing and prototype requirements. Other responsibilities include assisting with cost estimates, safety assessments, failure modes and effects analyses, electrical load analysis, maintenance instructions, installation instructions, flight manual supplements, and wiring interface schematics. They may assist with Certification document preparation for the ODA/FAA in accordance with regulations. Lastly, they will assist the installation team by drafting wiring diagrams and preparing install/repair modification data. This position is mostly on site as they will be able to interact directly with the Avionics Completions teams – Flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
2+ years’ experience in Aviation/Aerospace Electrical Systems Engineering, including wire harness integration
Understanding of FAA certification process
Experience working with maintenance manuals, equipment installation instructions, and wiring diagrams
1+ years’ experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks
Plusses
Experience with Garmin or Honeywell Products
