Earthwork Plant Manager Job at Balfour Beatty – in Birmingham

About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Earthworks Plant Manager to join our team to work across the West Midlands.

What you’ll be doing

Overall management and direction of the plant, equipment operations and resources required for the delivery of the Earthwork activity on the main line.

Implement and manage safe systems of work for the operation, maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment mobilized on site.

Responsibility for Earthwork plant and equipment budget including its elaboration as well of financial forecasts.

Elaborates the Method Statements and Risk Assessments related to his scope of work including Task Briefings and ensures they are disclosed to his personal

Reviews and approves the Subcontractors and Suppliers Method Statements and Risk Assessments produced for their work activities, including Task Briefings.

Approves the Inspection and Test Plans produced by the works section when regards the use of Plant.

Attends inspections and the delivery process of the equipment he is in charge at the premises of the suppliers.

Establishes and maintain key supplier relationships for spare parts, on-site technical services, consumables and other related services

Who we’re looking for

Previous experience working at Plant Manager level on a large scale construction project

Previous experience working with heavy earthworks plant and equipment
