Summary Responsible for the customer communication and relationships. Serves as the primary link between the customer, operating company leadership, and site level leadership to ensure communication of current status and potential problem areas while advising on how to mitigate those concerns. Responsible for implementing and executing an internal business development plan that would increase revenues and profits aligned with Corporate and Operating Company Business Development. Responsibilities – Responsible for establishing and maintaining the contractual and commercial relationships with customers – Manages customer relationships with the operating company and customer base fostering an environment where complex problems are solved in a manner that instills trust and respect for all parties – Develops and executes an effective strategic plan for the operating company to manage customer relationships – Interfaces wtih all customers, existing or new, to develop quotes and proposals; conduct contract negotiations via phone, email, and/or in person; and informs of new developments in our product line or production capabilities – Develops and oversees new business development initiatives in coordination with Corporate and Business Unit Business Development – Interfaces with internal teams to develop quotes and proposals on site specific opportunities – Furnishes development advice, counsel, and support to all departments within the organization in relation to business development and program management – Jointly with Engineering, responsible for developing Operating Company Product/Technology Roadmaps – Responsible for feasibility studies/business plans for proposals and new product development – Manages customer and opportunities database for Operating Company – Responsible for accurately identifying customer demand for long-term forecasting and business planning – Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments – Attends industry and customer conferences, meeting, and events – Manages Program Management staff at Clemmons in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws – Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems – Contributes to team effort by maininting a positive outlook – Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements – Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met Competencies – Customer focused and refined communication skills – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment – Strong business acumen – Strategic thought process – Professionalism in dealing with adverse or difficult situations – Excellent time management skills – Proficient Microsoft Office skills – Effective written and verbal communications in English Qualifications Required Education, Certification & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a business field with additional aerospace systems product background and knowledge – Five (5) years in the aviation industry or complex manufacturing, in a program management and business development related position – Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field a plus – PMP certification a plus Travel Up to 30%, including overnight and possible international travel Work Authorization Must meed ITAR requirements
