SUMMARY

Title: Director of Quality, Aviation Aerospace
Salary: $140,000 – $170,000
Location: Miramar, FL

Responsible for and has been given authority over the quality assurance / quality control function of the repair station with respect to work conducted under 14 CFR 145, EASA 145 and all applicable industry and international quality standards. Maintain the RSQC Manual, Training Manual, and EASA Supplement current. Management of the DOT/FAA Anti-Drug/Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.

EXPERIENCE

Gather the necessary documents and reports to present them at time of inspection or at any other time to the CHDO Inspector. These documents shall include, but are not limited to, work order packages, purchase orders, training records, and calibration records.
Responsible for maintenance of the quality system, inspection processes, and inspection personnel.
Ensure that procedures are in place to obtain information with respect to the pertinent sections of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations, Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS), and Airworthiness Directives (AD).
Maintain the repair station roster and ensure that the updated roster is provided to the CHDO within five (5) business days of any change.
Ensure that procedures for shelf life are adequate and maintained current.
Maintain all maintenance corrective action and training policy and procedures as delineated in the RSQC Manual
At the direction of the AM, coordinate FAA inspections as delineated in this manual.
Ensure all incoming, hidden damage, preliminary, in-process, and final inspections are performed in accordance with the policy and procedures as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
Submit reports of serious defects or recurring un-airworthy conditions in accordance with the policy and procedures as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
Ensure that maintenance performed for Air Carriers under parts 121, 125, 129, and 135 is done so in accordance with the carrier’s program and maintenance manual as per 145.205.
Ensure that all maintenance and inspection forms used by the repair station are complete prior to releasing articles for return to service. This is to include the FAA Form 8130-3.
Ensure that determinations concerning major alterations/repairs are accomplished as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
Ensure that all maintenance performed under the repair station certificate is done so in accordance current FAA regulations, manufacturer’s specifications or any other data acceptable to the FAA.
Ensure that reports of serious defects or recurring non-airworthy conditions are submitted in accordance with the policy and procedures delineated in the RSQC Manual.
Participate in the Warranty Review Board.
Maintain the Technical Data, scrap program and procedures as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
Ensure that all internal audits are performed and documented pursuant to the policies and procedures set forth in this RSQC Manual.
Ensure that all corrective, preventive, and root cause actions for all audits internal and customer are taken, documented, and communicated to upper management.
Establish liaison with air carriers with respect to the applicable sections of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations when work for air carrier is to be performed.
Ensure that personnel follow, are trained and informed of the procedures for inspecting articles for maintenance and material.
Perform other duties and / or projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent or four to six years related experience and/or training.
Ability to solve problems under time constraints.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Must have strong analytical skills and be versatile as well as have healthy experience of collection and analysis of complex data, both narrative and statistical.
Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
