Position:  Director Of Flight Operations

The Director of Flight Operations has responsibility to standup and operate a premium flight training operation in Norristown, PA that provides a customer focused flight training experience and aircraft management solutions to current and future Asylon customers.

In this role, the Director will lead a team of deployment pilots and regional supervisory drone pilots that provide a high-touch flight instruction and aircraft management services while achieving the highest levels of safety. The Director will work closely with the sales team to ensure training and aircraft management solutions facilitate the sale of new Drone

Core systems. The Director has responsibility over the operations financial performance and will standup process, tools and an engaged team to drive business results.

The Director is responsible to develop the current and future site and capabilities in order to serve the customer needs. The Director must have and maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry best training and flying techniques along with best flight training business practices. Director will coordinate other section leads to coordinate the development and communicate weekly and monthly goals for the department.

Finally, the Director is responsible to create a positive workplace environment that attracts, develops and retains high performing team members in a competitive hiring marketplace.


Minimum 10 years flight training or flight operations experience required.

Part 107 required

Part 61 required.

Minimum 5 years leadership experience overseeing flight training or flight operations


Experience and demonstrated ability to establish, implement and achieve departmental

goals and objectives required.

Experience and demonstrated ability to establish, implement and achieve financial targets


FAA certified flight instructor with instrument privileges required.

Proven ability to drive employee development and engagement required.

Proven ability to establish flight training business processes and leverage technology that

produce consistent and predictable business outcomes.

Experience writing and maintaining flight training plans and records.

Experience writing airspace authorizations and FAA waivers a plus.
