Director of Aircraft Interiors

The Director of Aircraft Interior is responsible for all aspects of business aircraft interior. Overseeing the day-to-day operations; including interior component removal, installation, fabrication and refurbishing of aircraft interiors items to include carpet and trim, fabrication of seat foam buildup, sewing and seat upholstery and cabinetry repairs and refinishing. Management of all Interior Managers & Supervisor that are vital to the success of the Interior Business unit.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage the day-to-day operations for all interior departments

Responsible for all work order management within the interior group

Management of all managers, supervisors, and technicians within the department

Performs duties in compliance with regulations, including FAA, OSHA, and EPA

Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 8 to 10 years background in private aviation interior operations

Must have knowledge of business financials and acumen

Must have good team building skills

Must be a team player with flexibility within the role and shifts as needed

Strive for highest of quality work and efficiency for the entire department

Ability to work at offsite locations and assisting other departments as needed

Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language

Must be proficient in all Microsoft Suites platforms

Physical Requirements:
Ability to be willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 ft in the air) using fall protection safety gear

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing repairs

Ability to lift 70lbs or more

Ability to operate basic hand tools and ground equipment

Ability to work in confined spaces

Non-Physical Requirements:
Ability to learn and use technical manuals

Good mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems effectively

Problem solver by effectively reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring, and illustrated parts manuals

Ability to communicate both in writing and orally with co-workers, customers, and Jet East leadership

Must be able to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations

Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers

Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets

Able to travel to locations, in all weather conditions, to perform repairs

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
