How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Develop certification procedures, develop tool to aid the certifications processes, review and post approvals and administer the certification process.
Develop and maintain certification procedures, processes, tools and databases to assist the group.
Support the management of ePDM STC and PMA data files and records.
Identify applicable airworthiness requirements for proposed major design changes and develop specific methods of compliance.
Draft certification plans, compliance checklists, conformity plans and other aspects of certification reports.
Support the relationship with regulatory agencies and administer delegated authority.
Coordinate responses to inquiries, significant certification issues and airworthiness concerns.
Support Audits of Company compliance to procedures.
Interface with customers, suppliers and other project stakeholders pertaining to certification of modification projects.
Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
3 -5 yrs in a technical aviation related discipline with 2-3 in an aviation engineering organization
One (1) year overall work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
Must possess some knowledge of aircraft certification processes and substantiation techniques.
Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
B.S. in engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 1-3 yrs aviation related experience
Knowledge of aircraft interiors, composites and entertainment systems.
Experience as a design engineer, substantiation engineer or manufacturing inspector.
