Sounds like something you are up for? That’s why we need you to complete our team. This role is a full-time, temporary position with a current end date of December 2025. There is the opportunity for it to become permanent.
The role:
Responsible for coordinating and managing the students on CAE FWSAR supported courses. This position works in close coordination with the CAE FWSAR Scheduler. This position requires efficient work planning, flexibility in a dynamic environment and the capacity to prioritize daily activities as they unfold. The Course Coordinator is the primary point of contact between students and CAE prior to and during their courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review student course loading messages and create associated files for each course / student as required
Send welcome letters and course loading instructions to incoming students
Prepare, publish and distribute an overall course timetable
Timely production of course documentation and reports
Manage eLearning accounts and provide CBT support
Manage training records and archives, keeping data up-to-date until member retires from RCAF
Keep ILMS & AFIILE up to date
Liaise with Scheduler to ensure course timetable is produced and accurate
Amend schedules due to any unforeseen delays or manning changes
Coordinate with Scheduler on availability of training devices, CAE/RCAF instructors and classroom allocation for the course
Together with Scheduler, resolve scheduling conflicts
Coordinate and arrange course graduation ceremonies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Experience in the aviation industry and Flight Simulation is desirable
Previous experience working within an RCAF Operational or Training Squadron. Knowledge of Canadian Forces Individual Training & Education System (CFITES), Air Force Integrated Information and Learning Environment (AFIILE) /Defence Learning Network (DLN), Qualification Standards (QS) and Training Plans (TP) desirable
Education – high school as a minimum with 2-5 years related experience
Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel and outlook)
Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude are essential
Organized and accurate detail work are essential
Able to work using own initiative
Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction
Ability to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment. Readily accepts changes and adjusts accordingly
Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances
Work involves frequent interruptions that are unpredictable and imposed or controlled by others. Capable of handling several tasks and projects simultaneously with limited supervision. Ability to adapt to a changing environment
MANDATORY: Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance
MANDATORY: Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit
